Summit Lakes Eye Care

Very impressed! I used to take my daughter to those franchise eye centers. After a couple visits to SLEC, I'll never go back. The doc took the time to dig deep into my daughter's poor eyesight. He asked me several times if "this" or "that" is a concern. I'm pretty sure he tested her prescription a few times to make sure it's correct. The staff took the time to walk my daughter through every potential pair of glasses. Again, very impressed! I received a text a week or so later to call or text to schedule fitting for glasses. Super convenient.

Summit Lakes Eyecare is the best eyecare place ever they care about their patients very much. I was out of contacts I called yesterday they were going to supply me with temporary ones until my new ones came in. I got there late the office was closed. The cleaning lady was there, she could not let me in to get my contacts as she was not authorized to do so I called the emergency on-call doctor he offered to drive there to let me in to get my contacts so I had them for the holidays and I now have my contacts for the holidays. This definitely speaks volume how much they are willing to help their patients! Thank you Dr. Eric for your help!!! Merry Christmas!

Insanely poor customer service today. I've been going here for a few years and this year the Dr. prescribed a new brand of contacts which have been awful. I dread the time it takes to try to put these in my eyes -- I've been wearing contacts for 30 years and never have had the difficulty with these B&L Ultras. Today, after almost an hour of failed attempts on my left eye (I got the right eye in eventually), I called the office to ask if I could come to the office and have someone help me put the left one in. The response? "We don't put contacts in patients eyes and won't do that". Not only that, she recommended I perhaps take a refresher course! An eye doctor who won't help a patient put their contact lenses in after that same doctor prescribed such horrible lenses? So disappointed. Update - after trying again for another 15 mins I thought perhaps I didn't understand them correctly so I called back. Nope, they reiterated they will not help me put my contact in even after I explained I'm headed out of town in a few hours and am not sure what to do about this. Not only that, while talking over me, she repeatedly said I can come up there and wait to see if someone will give me a refresher course and that I would have to pay for that! Maybe this is how all optometrists' offices operate but I wouldn't think so. I had higher expectations for them to help a long time patient or at least express some interest or suggestions with helping me (my eye is now super red and irritated as can be imagined). I would have never imagined the office turning away a patient who needs assistance putting in a contact lens. While the doctor's care has been great, this incident will certainly cause me to leave them and seek services from a more patient friendly office.

After seeing 3 different "doctors", fed up and frustrated, we tried Summit Lakes. The doctor that we saw was awesome. He started with what the computer said and the adjusted according to what we told him during the exam. The last "doctor" we had said we were wrong because the computer read something else. Didn't care how we saw, just that the computer was right and we didn't know what we were seeing...anyhow. He actually figured out that the computer read my wife's astigmatism one way but it was actually 45 degrees different for her vision. She now has perfect vision and is happy with her contacts. We are still working on finding my best fit in contacts, but he hit my perfect script right off the bat. Thanks folks!

1000% better than our previous eye doctor which we had for years. This practice has excellent customer service, courteous and very friendly, oh and very professional. Has the latest technology for a very thorough eye examination. Mr Cottie was exceptional in explaining things as he went, very nice man!! Office was very clean and the atmosphere was relaxing. Be back next year, hopefully!!! They will be highly recommended...

The staff are very friendly, helpful and patient. I really appreciate them listening to my various needs even if it takes extra time to articulate and decide what I want. Dr. Cottle is very thorough and really takes his time fully evaluating and recommending based on my needs instead of pushing aggressive tactics or selling marked up eyewear. I trust our whole family being patrons for almost 10 yrs and not looking to change anytime soon.

I was looking for a place to get eye exams and eyeglasses. Summit Lakes was recommended by my sister. I am very happy with the entire experience. The employee's were beyond helpful and very welcoming. It is my go to #1 PLACE.. Thank you to the employee's that made it so great. The eye Doctor was very nice and knowledgeable. We will be making this our optometrists go to place. Thanks to all that made our new patient experience feel like we have been going there forever.
